Prep Awards and Recognition
Recognising how hard our pupils work is a huge part of our nurturing approach.
This ranges from the simple, yet hugely important daily inter-actions and relationship building between our pupils and outstanding staff, alongside the more formal, daily recognition in the form of House Points and certificates through to our end of week Star of Week assemblies and a chance to have 'hot chocolate with the Head'.
As the year develops, pupils in our top 3 years of school aspire on their journey along the Sherborne Way, achieving their bronze, silver and gold badges as they come to the end of their time in our Preparatory Schools – recognition of their attitude and efforts towards our all-round educational philosophy.
Recognising achievement and effort on a termly basis is provided by our End of Term assemblies and the pinnacle of the academic calendar - Commemm, right at the end of the year.
Recognition at Sherborne Qatar is woven into daily school life. Pupils earn House Points and certificates for positive behaviour, effort and achievement . These are small but meaningful moments that reflect our belief that every pupil matters, every single day.

Absolutely. From daily House Points and weekly assemblies to termly End of Term celebrations and the pinnacle of our academic year - Commemoration (Commem) - every pupil has a genuine opportunity to be acknowledged and celebrated throughout the year.
In their final three years at our Preparatory School, pupils work towards bronze, silver and gold Sherborne WAY badges. These are awarded in recognition of their attitude, effort and commitment to our all-round educational philosophy - a proud milestone as they prepare for their journey into Senior School.
